FAQs

WHAT DOES 'CSA' MEAN?

CSA stands for 'Community Supported Agriculture'.

WHAT IF I WANT MORE OR LESS OF A CERTAIN VEGETABLE?

If you do not want a particular vegetable that you find in your box, you may place it in the Exchange Box at your pick-up site, so that others may then take it and enjoy it. If, on the other hand, you would like more of a particular vegetable, you can first check to see if it can be found  in the Exchange Box and if so, you may take it from there.

Otherwise, you may contact us and, depending on availability, you can either come to the farm to pick the additional desired quantities, or we can send it along with the following week’s boxes. Extras for canning and freezing can also be ordered, and you will be notified of their availability.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER EXTRAS THAT I CAN ORDER FROM THE FARM?

There will also be opportunities for shareholders to order fruit that we bring in from other farms and orchards (such as blueberries, cherries, apples, oranges, and peaches), as well as meat (chickens, pork, and beef), and local maple syrup and honey. All of these are raised organically and/or sustainably, with the exception of the peaches and cherries, for which there are no known local organic sources. Specific information about ordering will be in the weekly newsletters that we send out to the shareholders.

WHAT IF I'M AWAY ON VACTION?

If you know ahead of time that you'll be away on vacation on any given pick-up day, you can call or e-mail us in advance to let us know. We won't pack a box for you that day, but will pack an extra box for you for another pick-up day of your choice.
